Modernizing Legacy Technology

Government entities of all sizes face a common challenge: modernizing old-line, inefficient, legacy systems to better serve constituents, government employees, and other stakeholders.  Information technologies (IT), including personal computers, the web, email, social networks, smartphone apps and more, have changed the way millions of people shop, bank and keep up with friends. And, increasingly, they expect to interact with governments in the same way, paying taxes or applying for benefits through a phone or laptop quickly and efficiently.

Attendees of this course will receive an inside look at the problem State/Local Government faces regarding legacy modernization.  Opportunities using new technologies that loom on the horizon to help government agencies better serve their constituents will be shared with those in attendance.  In addition, we will discuss the network on which these technologies run and the fact that it must be robust and flexible enough to handle the traffic and bandwidth demands of today and beyond. Attendees will learn the value add of partnering with SYNNEX GOVSolv to make it happen and help address these common problems around legacy modernization challenges facing State/Local Government.
